  19.     Bars and Pipes Professional 2.5

  21. Requirements for recompiling:
  22.     DICE (or some other C compiler)
  23.     bars.h and toolstart.c from the Rules for Tools kit.

  25. Usage:
  26.     Run Bars and Pipes
  27.  
  28.     Load a song.
  29.     Select a track to be split.
  30.  
  31.     Install the Splitter in the Accessories window.
  32.     Open the Splitter.
  33.     Click ``Split Selected Track''.
  34.  
  35.     Your track will be split into a number of tracks, each containing
  36.     the events for a single MIDI note number. Tracks will only be
  37.     created for MIDI note numbers that occur in the original track.
  38.     Each new track of MIDI note events is named for the note that
  39.     it contains.

  41.     Another    track for non-note MIDI events will be created if needed.
  42.  
  43.     If you prefer, you can use a ``note map'' to supply names to the
  44.     newly created tracks. Note maps are created by the Pattern tool
  45.     when you're using Drum Map mode. These can be saved to disk,
  46.     and then be loaded into the Splitter using the
  47.     ``Load Notemap from File'' gadget. Load the note map before
  48.     splitting the track.

  50. Useful for:
  51.     Splitting a drum track into individual instruments for separate
  52.     processing.
